Day 4 Napa — Napa, CA

Napa, CA

Picked Audrey up at 9.30 and headed out to Point Reyce National Seashore on the West Coast. We passed through some quite amazing scenery from hills to marshes to water. Tomales Bay was like glass as it was so still. Heading down towards Drakes Bay we stopped at South Beach. Nathan ,Ben and I dipped our toes in the very cold Pacific Ocean. Nathan was really not too sure about the sand to start off with but after a few mouthfuls he seemed to quite enjoy it. Next to the point with the lighthouse on which gave amazing views down onto south beach and out to the Farallon Islands. On the way down from the lighthouse we stopped at Drakes Bay which felt a lot warmer as it is a bit more protected than the south beach. There is a visitors centre and cafe down there both which were closed due to it being off peak season. Quick drive up to Inverness were we had lunch of Bagels in the Blackbird cafe. A slightly different route home took us through Petaluma and finally on to Napa. Dropped Audrey home then time for some shopping in Nob Hill food store which is a better shopping experience than Walmart and we even managed to buy some Eco nappies. Gingerbread latte in Starbucks then home for dinner. Nathan is walking more and more every day. I think by the time we get back to the UK he will be running about.
