Day 2 — Singapore, Singapore

Hangout at Mt. Emily Singapore
We woke early the next day (mainly because of the snoring) and went
for breakfast downstairs which was scramble egg, toast, coffee/tea,
bread a butter pudding and sweet corn! A strange mix. We checked out
of the hostel but left our luggage there so we could explore more of the
city. We jumped on the MRT (underground) which is so easy to use
compared to the London undergroud and so clean as well. We went down to
Marina Bay to look at all the fancy restaurants and hotels on the water
front, including 'Raffles'. On our way back into the city I grabbed
some food from a street food stall and was recommended a chickena and
rice dish which was massive for only just $6. In the shopping centre
next door were again lots of shops all including beauty palours so
Charlie had a massage and I had a facial however there was a massive
language barrier so we had to to just point on the price list what it
was that we wanted. So we were taken off into separate rooms and I'm
sure they didn't know what they were doing as it took two of them to
work out how to make the a steam machine work so I thought I was going
to have my face burnt off! As she continued the facial I had a really
bad feeling that she thought I had said I wanted the $125 treament
rather than $38 one so I was panicing the whole way through thinking we
didn't have enough money so couldnt relax. And then she stuck candle in
my ears without asking which was so odd and to smell burning and see
flames so close to my face.
After collecting our luggage from the
hostel we went to the airport on the MRT so we could look around the
Butterfly Gardens at terminal 3. I took a nap in the 'Snooze Lounge'
whilst Charlie looked around.
We arrived at 1am at Perth where Charlie's Auntie picked us up.
